Blood pressure is the volume of force applied against the walls of arteries as blood runs through them. When the walls of arteries receive too much pressure it results in a high blood pressure. If the rises of blood pressure ignore and untreated it may cause serious health problems such as stroke, loss of vision, heart failure and kidney disease.
There are numerous factors that can affect the normal blood pressure and result in a high blood pressure. These factors include stress, smoking, obesity, lack of sleep, alcohol, and more. You will notice a high blood pressure when you reach the blood pressure 140/90 mmHg or more. Blood pressure is divided into five classifications: hypotension (low blood pressure), Normal, Prehypertension, Stage 1 Hypertension and Stage 2 Hypertension.
